WHAT IS SPIRITUAL DIRECTION?
Sometimes called spiritual counseling, spiritual guidance, or spiritual companion, it is an opportunity to deepen your relationship with the divine and to learn and grow in your own personal spirituality. In the process you share stories, reflect deeply on the experiences of your daily life and how your are experiencing spiritual issues. The director listens and asks questions to assist you in this process of reflection and growth. As you contemplate you will gradually begin to recognize the presence and grace of a Higher Power in your life. You may come to realize that this Spirit is truly with you every day and everywhere. You will discover that the Spirit has been waiting for you to seek this closer relationship.
Spiritual direction is not so much about being directed, but rather it is very much about being encouraged to draw closer to the Holy One in your life. The spiritual director is your companion on the journey. Sessions are sixty to seventy five minutes long, usually once a month and usually in person, but they can also be done face to face on line (using Skype) or by phone.
Rich is also a certified Reiki practitioner who offers a combined Reiki session with spiritual healing if that would be helpful in your journey.
The cost is usually $85/session.
